From winning the Malcolm Baldrige Award to being selected 2013 chairwoman of the Detroit Regional Chamber, Schlichting certainly deserves the title "Newsmaker of the Year" from Crain's Detroit Business.

Schlichting will be honored by Crain's at Ford Field on February 21.
