The Craig Fahle Show

Musician Olivia Millerschin On Songwriting, High School & Touring With Mom and Dad

Friday, June 6, 2014

Rochester Hills native Olivia Millerschin performs several of her songs in studio and talks with Craig about her musical achievements and what it's like being a young musician living and working in Metro Detroit.

Millerschin is just 18-years-old and recently won the John Lennon Songwriting Contest's special Love, Love, Love competition for her song, "Screw Valentines Day." She's one year out of high school, and talks with Craig about what's in store for the future. After her debut album Yes, No, Maybe So was released last year, she's performing at a handful of venues and has her parents along with her. "My Mom and Dad keep me in check," she tells Craig.

Olivia describes her work as Indie Pop and says she's excited for the shows she has lined up this summer, including a release party for her new song, Over The Weather happening June 8th, along with a performance at Ann Arbor's Summer Festival.
