The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History is holding a tribute concert for WDET DJ/Host, Ed Love. For more than 24 years, Ed has delighted listeners with Destination Jazz: The Ed Love Program. Each weekend, Ed introduces listeners to new recordings and plays the classics of years gone by – what he likes to call "Ed Love Flashbacks."
This tribute to Ed Love, "In the Name of Love," will feature Shahida Nurullah, Karriem Riggins, Straight Ahead, Monica Blaire, and will be emceed by Nick Austin, host of WDET's New Soul Sunday show. The concert is Saturday Jun 25, 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM at the Charles H. Wright Museum.
