No Money Allocated By Lawmakers For Michigan Roads

The state legislature adjourned for it's summer break without allocating any additional funds for the state's roads. Census Bureau data shows the that Michigan ranks last among the 50 states in spending on road repairs and improvements. Money allocated for roads and bridges rank between $60 and $376 less per-capita than Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Pennsylvania among other states. Craig breaks down why the legislature dropped the ball on additional funding for roads. He speaks with State Senator and Minority Leader, Gretchen Whitmer and Detroit News Political Reporter, Chad Livengood.
