Michigan Republican Party Chairman Robert Schostak Talks GOP Strategy

Wednesday, May 28, 2014

Craig speaks with Michigan Republican Party Chairman Robert Schostak at the Mackinac Policy Conference. In an election year when Republicans are expected to have the advantage, Schostak tells Craig about plans for job creation across the state, Republican U.S. Senate candidate Terri Lynn Land and the changes he wants to see in healthcare policy.

Schostak tell Craig that he's hoping Land's name recognition and "great" campaign and fundraising abilities will get her a spot in the Senate. "Michigan is not represented in the Senate," and voters need to show up to the polls on election day to change that. In addition to Land's name recognition, Schsotak has also invested in voting and campaign technologies in recent years to encourage voter turnout. "It's time for change," says Schostak and that means new GOP representation, chnaging the conversation in Washington and addressing the issues he sees with Obamacare in Michigan.
