On Being
Being is a spacious conversation — and an evolving media space — where big questions help you to explore the center of human life, from the boldest new science of the human brain to the most ancient traditions of the human spirit. |
The second annual Cover Michigan Survey, released by the Center for Healthcare Research & Transformation (CHRT), shows that people who lack health coverage are more likely to seek medical treatment in costlier care settings and less likely to have regular, preventive care. The survey of 1,000 Michigan adults also reveals that simply having health coverage does not guarantee access to care.
Craig sits down with Marianne Udow-Phillips, the Director of the University of Michigan’s Center for Healthcare Research & Transformation, to talk about the results of this survey. Click on the audio player to listen. Are you surprised at all by these results?
