What Strays Do To The City of Detroit

Some experts say focusing on the number of stray dogs and cats in the city of Detroit misses the point of the issue. Laura Reese is Director of Global Urban Studies at Michigan State University, and she’s been researching public policy issues surrounding stray animals in the city. Reese tells WDET’s Laura Weber-Davis she is less interested in the exact number of strays in the city, and more interested in the organizations that are mitigating the problem with strays in a cash-strapped city.
