Theresa Early, Director of Adult Programming at Matrix Human Services and Shirley Edwards, Executive Director of Spectrum Child & Family Services, join Craig to discuss their respective projects.
Two Michigan nonprofits, Matrix Human Services and Spectrum Child and Family Services, are working to move families in Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties toward a brighter future and change the face of poverty in our community.
On March 26 they will host an event to officially announce to the community the launch of the first two new Ways to Work programs, a proven, innovative, 26-year-old national economic empowerment program that provides affordable, character-based auto loans and financial education to qualifying, low-income working families to help strengthen their self-sufficiency and improve their quality of life.
They also can speak to research that clearly demonstrates when families have access to reliable transportation, their income increases and access to education and healthcare improves.
