Is Listening to Radio On The Web The Future Of Radio

Thursday, June 26, 2014

The media landscape is evolving quickly, and radio often finds it difficult to keep up. That's according to Paul Jacobs of Jacobs Media, and radio industry consultant.

"I think we're in a period of unbelievable change," says Jacobs. "The audience and radio listeners are accessing content in ways we could have never imagined even a few years ago."

Jacobs says radio listeners aren't listening to radio programs the way they used to, and people increasingly pick and choose what they listen to via podcasts and streams. He says it will take a large investment from radio stations to stay ahead of the tech curve and keep up with other media.
