Barbara Cohn, an art historian, created guided tours for the Detroit Public Library to show off its architecture and art.

Over a year ago, Barbara Cohn walked into the Detroit Public library in Midtown asking for a tour of the building. But the Library didn’t give guided visits. As an art historian, Cohn took it upon herself to create monthly a tour for the public. She wanted to show off the old building and the treasures hidden in every corner. Barbara Cohn spoke to WDET’s Martina Guzman about the tours and some of the rare art found at the main branch of the Detroit Public Library.
