"Fake Pot" Lawsuit Could Help Put An End To Sales

Wednesday, June 11, 2014

An Oakland County lawsuit filed on behalf of a young man who committed suicide, contends that, among others, the retailer who sold the "fake pot", used by the plaintiff, is negligent in several areas including breaking the law by selling the product. Craig speaks with Jim Rasor, the lawyer representing the estate of John Anthony Sdao and Matthew Abel, an attorney specializing in marijuana cases. Abel says products like Spice and K2 should not be labeled as fake marijuana because no cannabis is included in the ingredients. Rasor says the product "is actually poison" made in a lab and sprayed on herbs. He says the gas station owner makes a huge profit off these products and knew the dangers involved but continued to sell it.
