An Emergency Room survey by the American Colleges of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) suggests that 70% of Americans oppose efforts by insurance companies to deny payment for emergency visits with non-urgent medical conditions. The conflict is that a large sum of emergency room visits are actually not as serious or life-threatening as the patient initially thinks. So called "non-urgent medical conditions" are often denied reimbursement from insurance companies causing disgruntled patrons.
