Have you ever wondered what would happen if the plane you were on crashed? For the first time on television, The Discovery Channel aired a remote crash of a 727 passenger jet in the Mexican Desert — all in the name of science. Craig speaks with Dr. Cindy Bir, Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Wayne State University where she is Director of Research for Orthopaedic Surgery, who was the bio mechanist responsible for the crash test dummies that were seated on the 727 during the crash.
