WDET's Nichole Christian talks to Marge Sorge and Dave Lingholm, on The Craig Fahle Show, about The Detroit Regional News Hub's successes, and challenges, in trying to help national journalists bring balance to their coverage of Motown.

The HUB was launched three years ago as an online news aggregation resource but its worked has mushroomed to include an annual media bootcamp, a new half hour “Detroit Unspun” TV show on YouTube., and Youth Neighborhood News, an audition-only broadcast journalism program for students 11-18 years old. YNN tells Detroit's story through students' eyes. The 2011 media bootcamp drew 71 journalists and bloggers and resulted in more than 30 major stories about Detroit’s transformation.
