Detroit residents will vote this fall on a revised charter for the city. One of the main goals of the new charter is to discourage corruption, and give the city more power to remove officials who break the law. Jenice Mitchell Ford chairs the charter commission, which spent two years rewriting the document. The proposed revisions are expected to appear on the November 8th ballot.
