Dance Dance Dance!

DIA prepares to celebrate dance throughout the decades in new exhibit

The DIA is preparing for its next special exhibit. The effort celebrates Dance in American art. Jane Dini is the former assistant curator of American Art at the DIA. Before leaving for a position at New York’s  Metropolitan Museum of Art Dini spent four years compiling the works for the new exhibit. She tells WDET’s Amy Miller that although many people are involved, she sees the exhibit as her love letter to the city. “Dance! American Art”. It opens on March 20th and runs through June 12th.
