The Craig Fahle Show

Podcast for Tuesday, July 5, 2011

During the first hour, we take a look at two metro Detroit communities: The Grosse Pointes and Dearborn with the editors of their respective local news Patch.com websites. In the second hour, Craig Fahle regular Julia Elliott of Metro Parent takes over the microphones and talks about eating local organic produce; how a new generation of gay teens are leaving the closet behind; how I3Detroit is making science and technology fun for kids; and where to find the best ice cream in the metro. Patch.com is a network of hyper-local online newspapers. We hear from the editors of two local Patches: Grosse Pointe Patch Editor Sara Eaton Martin and Dearborn Patch Editor Jessica Carreras. Both talk about their communities and interview someone making an impact in them. Then, the second of the program is guest hosted by Metro Parent Executive Editor who brings in guests to talk about a range of issues from community supported agriculture to what it's like to be a gay teen in Metro Detroit.
