Are Children Better Off Learning In Schools Computer-Free?

The Waldorf School approach to child learning has been receiving national attention of late for its non-focus on technology and computer literacy, especially with advocates of the model being found in many high-tech families in California's Silicon Valley.

Craig talks about the possible benefits and draw-backs of a computer-free primary education. He is joined in this discussion by the Education Technology Center Director of Wayne State University's College of Education, Dr. Mary Waker, as well as by Dr. Linda Williams, a professor in the Department of Teacher Education at Eastern Michigan University and former instructor at the Detroit Waldorf School.
