Banking Institutions And Skepticism Over Corporate Responsibility

Monday, June 9, 2014

When it comes to banking institutions, most of the discussion is about the recession and bankruptcies according to Bank of America's Global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Consumer Policy Executive Andrew Plepler.

His position focuses less on financial crisis and more on philanthropy and volunteerism. According to Plepler, people are skeptical of the role people in his position play in the business.

Bank of America provides a brochure on thier website that highlights exactly what actions they take to fulfill thier standards of corperate responsibily.

"We have to earn that trust back everyday", Plepler says. "We deliver a lot of resources and financing capabilities."
