Detroit Area Making Progress On Air Quality But Not Ozone

There is some good news for Detroit area residents when it comes to certain kinds of air pollution. A report released this week says that particle pollution, a form of pollution known to cause lung cancer, is on the decline in the Detroit area and other major cities across the country. But it also shows that another kind of pollution is increasing. WDET’s Amy Miller spoke with Janice Nolen; Assistant Vice-President of National Policy for the American Lung Association. Nolen says it’s the 15th year for the annual report and it shows mixed results.
