Democrat Kurt Haskell says his knowledge of tax law could help Congress achieve a balanced budget and avoid a fiscal disaster. He’s the Democratic candidate for the new 7th Congressional district …running against Republican Congressman Tim Walberg. Haskell has a master’s degree in tax law from Wayne State University, and he was an IRS attorney for several years before opening his own firm in southeast Michigan. Haskell tells WDET’s Laura Weber-Davis that he’s the better candidate to help middle class families… and he’ll push to make higher education affordable for everyone.
