“MoGo” Detroit’s First Bike Share System

Detroit Bike Share introduced the city’s first bike sharing program called “MoGo.”

Detroit Bike Share revealed the name of the city’s first public bike program Wednesday. 

The program. called “Mogo,” is scheduled to launch in next month with 430 bikes at 43 stations in 10 Detroit neighborhoods.

Lisa Nuszkowski is the Executive Director of Detroit Bike Share. She says the name of the system is a nod to Detroit’s history and its future.

“We’re known as the birthplace to the Motown Sound, home of the Motor City. We also really wanted to think about where Detroit moving in terms of mobility. And really trying to expand the number of options that we have in our city,” Nuszkowski says. 

Nuszkowski says riders can purchase daily, monthly, and annual passes for unlimited 30-minute trips.

She says “MoGo” will also offer corporate and community passes for organizations at a discounted price.
