Wayne County Executive Warren Evans delivered his State of the County speechTuesday. During his remarks, Evans touted an operating surplus for the second straight year. He also provided insight on the status of the Gratiot jail site and Rock Ventures proposal to build a soccer stadium there. Evans also repeated his call for the state to revise its municipal funding practices. Detroit City Council President Brenda Jones attended the event in Dearborn. She spoke with WDET’s Bre’Anna Tinsley about the speech.
