Holy Anniversary! 65th Autorama Revs Up [PHOTOS]

2017 show features hot rods, custom cars, and TV’s Batmobile.

Detroit’s original hot rod and custom car show celebrates its 65th year in 2017. Autorama returns to Cobo Center Feb. 24 through 26. Pete Toundas is the founder and President of Championship Auto Shows. He tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller the event’s reputation has grown since the first Autorama was held at the University of Detroit Field House. This year’s show brings back some of the most popular “celebrity” cars from past years, including the General Lee from the “Dukes of Hazzard” and the Batmobile from the 1960s TV series starring Adam West and Burt Ward.
