WDET Welcomes Indivisible to the Line Up & The Late Lunch is Back

WDET shakes up the weekday schedule and adds WNYC’s Indivisible to the weekday line up.

At WDET we are constantly evaluating what our audience wants to hear (and do and see and know.). To that end Monday (February 6th) we introduced new programming to our airwaves and brought back some of your favorite programming to midday.

Let’s break the changes down:

1. The “Late Lunch” is back!  Starting at 2 p.m. weekdays we will air five different one-hour programs including This American LifeSnap Judgement and The Moth. These are among the most popular public radio shows produced by some of the most creative voices in public media.  We moved them to 10 p.m., but you let us know that you missed them in the afternoon. This change will mean that Culture Shift will now air weekdays from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

The “Late Lunch” schedule will be as follows:

Monday:  This American Life

Tuesday:  Reveal

Wednesday: Snap Judgement

Thursday:  The Moth Story Hour

Friday:  Sound Opinions (followed by Radiolab at 3 p.m.)

2.  We have added a live–call-in program called Indivisible. The show will be live Monday through Thursday evenings at 8 p.m. immediately following the re-air of Detroit Today.  The mission of the show is to convene a nightly gathering place for everyday Americans to talk, debate, and find common ground during the first 100 days of the Trump administration. It is scheduled to air through mid-April.
