Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Southeast Michigan

Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, Lenawee, Monroe, Lapeer, St. Clair, Livingston and Shiawassee Counties are included.

The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY for all of Southeast Michigan from 4 a.m. Sunday until 4 a.m. Monday.

Affected areas include Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, Lenawee, Monroe, Lapeer, St. Clair, Livingston and Shiawassee Counties.

The Weather Service says long duration snow will affect the region, resulting in total snowfall of 6 to 8 inches by late Sunday night.

Snow starts late Saturday night, before peaking in intensity Sunday afternoon into early Sunday evening.  Snow should taper off by the Monday morning rush hour

Roads will become snow-covered and slick on Sunday.  Be prepared for times of limited visibility.
