Former Michigan Congressman Switches Support from Kasich to Trump
Former Michigan Congressman Pete Hoekstra backed Kasich but now supports Trump. He says the two share similar goals.
Former Michigan Congressman Pete Hoekstra was in Cleveland this week as a delegate to the Republican National Convention. Hoekstra initially endorsed and campaigned for Ohio Gov. John Kasich. But now he says he’s supporting Donald Trump. WDET’s Amy Miller caught up with Hoekstra while he was on the floor of the convention. Hoekstra says Kasich and Trump have different approaches but many of the same goals.
