Wayne County Will Add Lights on Avenue of Fashion

Wayne County will install lights on buildings on Detroit’s Avenue of Fashion.

Wayne County will install additional street lights along the Avenue of Fashion next week.

Spokesperson James Canning says the new lights will complement those already installed by the Detroit Public Lighting Authority.

“They really help illuminate the sidewalks, help bring attention to the businesses along the Avenue of Fashion, and also promote safety for those customers coming in and out of those businesses,” Canning says.

Canning says the new lights will be installed along buildings and in alleyways of the area. The County Executive will hold a lighting ceremony next week.
