Detroit duo JR JR are one of the city’s most celebrated bands. For the past five years, Joshua Epstein and Daniel Zott have churned out records woven together by a singular brand of highly melodic contemporary music, compendiums of heartfelt, intelligent pop jams balanced by old school harmonies and new school technology.

Fresh off an appearance on Conan and in anticipation of the release of their third record on Warner Brothers, they guys sit down with WDET’s Travis Wright to talk about hitting the five-year-mark, recognizing a single, and their relationship with each other. We also hear some new tunes along the way.
