Michigan Congressman Wants to Hear Sense of Urgency in GOP Presidential Debates

The GOP is preparing this week for its first…and very early…debates between a very large group of contenders vying to be the party’s nominee in the 2016 presidential election.

Among those who say they’ll be watching the GOP contenders with interest is Republican Mike Bishop, who represents Michigan’s 8thCongressional District.

The freshman congressman tells WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter he’s also been watching the federal bureaucracy since arriving in Washington.

Bishop says he’s been appalled at what he’s found.
