The Wyandotte Street Art Fair runs through Saturday. It’s the 50th anniversary of the Downriver festival. Spokeswoman Jodi Chansuolme says it’s more than a street fair…it’s a juried art show.

“The artists submit an application with examples of their work, and everything has to be handmade. So to be on this main drag on Biddle Avenue, we do have some fine artists. We also have what’s called crafters alley, and that’s more like finer crafts.”

This year’s art fair also features some pieces that reflect the styles of the first art fair 50 years ago. The event takes place on Biddle Avenue between Eureka and Oak in Downtown Wyandotte.
