Dozens of venues around Metro Detroit will host special events today (Mon)in honor of Doctor Martin Luther King, Junior. The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in Detroit will have children's workshops, discussions about Doctor King, and community health screenings.
LaNesha Debardelaben is the museum's archivist. She spoke about the day's events with WDET's Jerome Vaughn. Debardelaben says the staff is expecting quite a turnout.

The museum will be open Monday from 9 a.m.until 7 p.m.
