The violence that claimed seven lives in Detroit over the weekend is still fresh in peoples' minds. WDET is asking newsmakers, changemakers, and listeners what they can do about the problem. Focus:HOPE was founded in the aftermath of the 1967 riot. Since then, it has helped countless people try to escape the cycle of poverty in Detroit. The group's CEO, William Jones, talked about the mission and the response to violence in the city with WDET's Pat Batcheller Tuesday morning. Click the audio link above to hear the conversation.
