2012 may go down as the warmest year on record in Metro Detroit. The National Weather Service says since January 1st, the average daily temperature—adding the high and low and dividing by two—is about 55 degrees. That’s 1.5 degrees warmer than the record set in 1998. WDET’s Pat Batcheller asked meteorologist Rich Pollman why it’s been so warm this year. Click on the audio link above to hear the conversation.
