The Detroit Tigers open the 2012 regular season at Comerica Park Thursday against the Boston Red Sox. American League Cy Young and Most Valuable Player award winner Justin Verlander is scheduled to pitch for the Tigers, who are seeking to repeat as Central Division Champions. Dan Dickerson, the radio play-by-play announcer for the Tigers, spoke with WDET's Pat Batcheller about the team's chances of making the playoffs, and shares his favorite opening day memory--the first ball game played at Comerica Park in 2000.
