New Supreme Court Term May Consider Health Care

The Supreme Court of the United States opened its new term on Monday. Justices ruled that a Muslim woman may sue California jail officials for making her remove her head scarf in a holding cell. They also refused to hear another lawsuit challenging President Obama's birth certificate. Many legal scholars believe the court will consider the president's health reform law, and the constitutionality of the individual mandate that all Americans carry some kind of health insurance in the future. Robert Sedler is a constitutional law professor at Wayne State University. He told WDET's Pat Batcheller that the case will likely end up before the highest court in the land.
