Storms Leave About 20k Without Power

D-T-E Energy says about 20,000 customers were without power Thursday morning after severe thunderstorms raced across Metro Detroit Wednesday. Most of the outages were in Oakland and Wayne Counties, which received heavy rain, hail, and damaging winds. The power company says it expects to restore service to everyone late Thursday night. In Macomb County, a school bus driver lost control of the vehicle during a thunderstorm on I-94 in Harrison Township. The bus, which was carrying members of the Anchor Bay HS soccer team, went into a ditch, but authorities say there was only one minor injury.
