Southfield Fwy Could Re-open Early

The Southfield Freeway between Grand River and the Lodge Freeway has been closed for most of the summer. But despite some extreme weather conditions…the Michigan Department of Transportation says it expects to re-open Southfield by the middle of October--a couple of weeks early. WDET's Pat Batcheller spoke with MDOT’s Rob Morosi, and asked him how the project could wrap ahead of schedule. Click the audio link above to hear the conversation.
