Season's First Snowfall Expected

Heavy rain on Tuesday will give way to the first real snowfall of the season by Wednesday morning. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch overnight for Oakland, Livingston, Washtenaw, and Lenawee Counties. Forecasters say those areas could see three to five inches of snow by Wednesday. Detroit may get about an inch of snow. WDET's Pat Batcheller spoke with Dave Gurney, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service office in White Lake Township. Gurney explains where the wet and wintry weather is coming from...and how much snow may fall. Click the audio link above to hear the conversation.
