The Michigan Supreme Court has ordered three more proposals onto the November ballot, after rejecting challenges to each. One proposal would require two-thirds majorities in the state house and senate to raise taxes. Another would require a public vote before construction of a new international bridge between Detroit and Windsor. A third would enshrine collective bargaining rights in the Michigan Constitution. Justices rejected a proposal to allow eight new non-tribal casinos in Michigan. WDET’s Pat Batcheller asked Michigan Public Radio’s Rick Pluta to break down the Supreme Court’s decision.
