The old Detroit Science Center has new leadership, and new life. Thanks to a number of corporate and individual donations...the museum is scheduled to reopen on the day after Christmas as the Michigan Science Center. The Detroit Science Center closed in 2011 due to a lack of money and financial mismanagement. The new museum will be debt-free when it opens.
