Human Rights Ordinance Moves Toward Vote in March

The Royal Oak City Commission has taken the first step toward approving an ordinance banning discrimination based on sexual orientation. The commission met Monday and passed the measure through its first reading. Mayor Jim Ellison tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller says the issue will come up for another vote this spring.
