The state will close a seven-mile stretch of I-96 between Telegraph and Newburgh. That’s the bad news. The good news is that it won’t happen for two more years. So why do you need to know this right now? Because the state hasn’t finalized all the details yet--such as the detour--and officials want input from residents and businesses who will be affected by it. The Michigan Department of Transportation is reaching out to those folks on its own web site, as well as facebook and Twitter. Spokesman Rob Morosi tells WDET's Pat Batcheller that M-DOT also wants to hear from drivers, and give them time to prepare. Click the audio link above to hear the conversation.
