Detroit Police say more officers could be on the street overnights in response to this past weekend’s string of shootings. 15 people were shot between 6:00 am Friday and 6:00 am Saturday. Six died. A seventh person--a 14-year-old--was accidentally shot to death on Saturday night. Police say the teen and an 18-year-old were playing with the gun before it went off. City Council President Charles Pugh says he works with young people to try to prevent violence before it happens. He spoke to WDET's Pat Batcheller.
