Pugh Passes On Second Term

Detroit City Council President Charles Pugh says he will not seek re-election to a second term in 2013. Pugh made the remark during a meeting on proposed council district maps on Monday. The journalist-turned-politician says he had always planned to serve just one term. He told WDET's Pat Batcheller that he was surprised by that an off-hand remark would become a big news story.
