Carmelo Anthony scored 26 points as the New York Knicks beat the Detroit Pistons 102-87 near the Palace on Thursday. Not the Palace of Auburn Hills--near Buckingham Palace. The game was played in London, and drew a crowd of more than 18,000 people--which is about average for an NBA game in the United States. Chris Mitchell of the BBC covered the game, and told WDET's Pat Batcheller that Britain's interest in basketball is growing--slowly.
