A 2011 study by the University of Michigan showed a sharp drop in the number of licensed drivers under 30 in the United States. It’s not necessarily that they don’t know how to drive--many just don’t want to. And there are many reasons why. To understand those reasons, WDET's Pat Batcheller had a conversation with producer J. Carlisle Larsen. She’s 26. She owns a car, but tells Pat--the 47-year-old son of a car salesman--that she rarely drives it anymore. Click on the audio link above to hear the conversation.
