Allen Park's EFM Is Experienced

Allen Park greets its new emergency financial manager this week. The state appointed Joyce Parker to the job last week. She brings plenty of experience as the emergency manager in Ecorse and the Highland Park School district. Parker introduced a two-year budget in Ecorse, and balanced the city's budget. She also helped establish an academy school system in Highland Park. She tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller that she wants to get to know the people and the community before she starts to tackle Allen Park’s crisis. Click on the audio link above to hear the conversation.
