New Provost for University of Michigan

Thursday, January 31, 2013

The University of Michigan has selected a new Provost. Current Vice Provost for Academic and Budgetary Affairs Martha Pollack will effectively assume the role of Provost in May. She says her goal is to provide "an uncommon education for the common man." The Provost is second in command at the university, and is responsible for the academic and general budget. Pollack replaces Provost Phil Hanlon, who's leaving to become the President of Dartmouth College.
