National Baptist Congress Brings Thousands To Cobo

More than five thousand visitors are expected in downtown Detroit this week…as part of the National Baptist Congress. The event runs through Friday at Cobo Center.

The organization, founded in 1906, offers spiritual education courses and entertainment to communities around the country.

LaDonna Boyd is the Youth Activities Coordinator for the Congress. She spoke to WDET’s Jerome Vaughn.
